Project Coordinator and Liaison

Contribute your policy development and project management expertise to the Ministry's efforts in building a more efficient, effective and accessible justice system.
In this role, you will:
- · lead projects, provide strategic policy and program development and review new projects to support the Aboriginal Justice Branch
- · provide research, project planning, coordination, delivery and evaluations of justice initiatives
- · provide strategic advice, interpretation and recommendations to management and senior officials
Location: 720 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario
What we are looking for:
Technical Skills:
- · you have knowledge of the criminal justice system
- · you have knowledge of the roles of key justice providers and justice concepts of alternative judicial measures and restorative justice
- · you have knowledge of the Aboriginal people, communities, organizations, Provincial Territorial Organizations, governance models, structures, cultural beliefs and practices
- · you have the ability to acquire and apply knowledge of legislation, policies, programs and services concerning victims and offenders in the criminal justice system
Project Management and Policy Development Skills:
- · you have knowledge of project management planning, methodologies, processes, resources, evaluation and techniques
- · you have knowledge of policy and program development and can change processes to prioritize, plan and review projects
Problem-Solving, Process Planning and Organizational Skills:
- · you can manage an assigned portfolio of projects, develop options and practical solutions and coordinate initiatives with multiple deliverables and competing deadlines
Communication Skills:
- · you can produce strategic, clear and concise briefing notes, reports and communication materials and make presentations for educational sessions
- · you can consult and facilitate relationships to build partnerships with Aboriginal communities and resolve sensitive issues
Research, Analytical and Evaluation Skills:
- · you can review and identify relevant criminal justice system issues, policies, services and initiatives
Salary range: $69,279.00 - $88,440.00 per annum
